UGC's Call: Institutes Gather For Chandrayaan 3 Assembly

All higher education institutions (HEIs) have been directed by the University Grants Commission (UGC) to host special assemblies from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. to broadcast the Chandrayaan 3's landing.

 

The Commission added that "the landing of India's Chandrayaan 3 is a monumental occasion that will not only fuel curiosity but also spark a passion for exploration within the minds of our youth." The Commission described the Chandrayaan 3's landing as a significant step forward for Indian Science, Engineering, Technology, and Industry. As we collectively celebrate the prowess of Indian science and technology, it will foster a profound sense of pride and oneness. It will help to promote a culture of creativity and research in science. The nation will witness this historic event alongside the Hon. Prime Minister of India, according to a notice from UGC.

 

The event will be streamed live on August 23 at 5:27 pm (IST), according to information given by the Commission. The ISRO website, isro.gov.in, ISRO's official YouTube channel, its Facebook page, facebook.com/ISRO, and the DD National TV station will all offer live coverage.
