Xiaomi Mix Fold 3, Slimmer Than Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5

The latest foldable device from Xiaomi, the Mix Fold 3, was unveiled today in China alongside a variety of other gadgets. In China, sales of the smartphone will begin on August 16. The foldable phone's global release date has not yet been made public, though. Xiaomi's successor, the Mix Fold 3, is even more compact than its thin predecessor. The inner and outer screens each have a dual E6 OLED display that measures 8.03 inches and 6.56 inches, respectively.

Xiaomi Mix Fold 3: Price, Availability

The newest foldable, which is a replacement for the Xiaomi Mix Fold 2, comes in two color options: Moon Shadow Black and Xingyao Gold. The 12GB RAM + 256GB storage option of the Xiaomi Mix Fold 3 is priced at CNY 8,999, or roughly Rs. 1,03,000. The high-end model with 16GB RAM and 1TB storage is listed at CNY 10,999 (approximately Rs. 1,26,600), while the 16GB RAM and 512GB model is priced at CNY 9,999 (about Rs. 1,14,500).

Xiaomi Mix Fold 3: Specifications

With a core 8.03-inch foldable E6 AMOLED LTPO panel and a 6.56-inch AMOLED cover display with FHD+ resolution, Xiaomi's newest foldable boasts two displays. The Xiaomi Mix Fold 3 is equipped with an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor and up to 1TB of inbuilt UFS 4.0 storage. It utilizes Android 13 and MIUI 14 software. From 45 degrees to 135 degrees of hover opening are supported by the foldable's hinge.

The smartphone comes with a quad camera system on the back that consists of a 50-megapixel Sony IMX 800 primary camera, a 13-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, a 10-megapixel telephoto lens, and a second 10-megapixel periscope lens. A rectangular cut-out with Leica branding and an LED flash houses the sensors. It has a 20-megapixel selfie camera on the front.

A 4,800mAh battery within the Xiaomi Mix Fold 3 is capable of 67W cable fast charging and 50W wireless charging. A battery life of eight hours and twenty minutes is promised. A side-mounted fingerprint sensor is built inside it. The foldable has a USB Type-C port and NFC capability for communication.

The smartphone is reported to be thinner than its forerunner and has an unfurled thickness of 5.26mm, rising to 10.89mm when folded.
