The Ola S1 X and Ola S1 Pro Gen 2 have been introduced by Ola Electric in India. With prices starting at just Rs 79,000 (ex-showroom), the X is now the entry point into the S1 series. However, this pricing is introductory and only good through August 21, 2023. The S1 X is available from Ola Electric in three distinct configurations: S1 X+, S1 X with 2kWh battery, and S1 X with 3kWh battery. The top-of-the-line model, the X+, has a brand-new 5.0-inch LCD screen. The X variants are mechanically identical but have a smaller 3.5-inch display. The S1 X family of scooters include a significant amount of black plastic cladding as a cost-saving technique. A 3kWh battery pack and a 6kW (8.15bhp) electric motor are both used in the S1 X+ and S1 X3 vehicles. The two scooters now have a 151km range and a 90kmph top speed. It takes just 3.3 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 40 kph.
The base Ola S1 X2 has the same 6kW motor and a smaller 2kWh battery. As a result, the scooter's range is reduced to 91 km, and its top speed is reduced to 85 km/h. Up to August 21 customers may purchase an Ola S1 X+ for Rs 99,999, with deliveries starting in September. Pre-orders for the S1 X3 and S1 X2 are currently being accepted for Rs 999 only. The S1 X3 scooter costs Rs 89,999, and the S1 X2 scooter costs Rs 79,999. These prices are also introductory and are only available till August 21. The scooters will start being delivered by Ola in December.
The S1 Air Gen 2 has also been introduced by Ola Electric. In every way, this scooter is an improvement over the prior model. This has a newly improved battery pack that is more effective. The S1 Pro Gen 2 can accelerate from 0 to 40 kmph in just 2.6 seconds and can reach a top speed of 120 kmph thanks to this and improvements to the powertrain, which now uses an 11 kW motor. Range has also increased and is now 195 kilometers. The scooter has undergone structural modifications as well, including telescopic suspension, a flat floorboard, and an improved monoshock at the back, which has allowed it to shed 6 kg of weight.
