"Pardon the interruption," the notification said to subscribers. We're having difficulty watching Netflix. Please double-check your internet connection and retry."
LOVE IS BLIND, and it appears to be very, very late at times. A first-of-its-kind live reunion special for Season four of the hit reality series was set to air on Sunday night, but as eager viewers checked in, they were greeted with a technical issue warning them that the show was running behind time.
Subscribers were apparently met with the following message: "Please excuse the disruption. We're having difficulty watching Netflix. Please double-check your internet connection and retry." The reunion was nearly an hour late at the time of writing and showed no signs of starting shortly.
Throughout the night, Netflix provided a few updates, saying "Love is... late" and promised that the show would begin around 8:15 p.m., rather than the original time of 8 p.m. However, that time passed, leaving viewers unhappy as they waited for updates on each Love Is Blind couple.
Meanwhile, cohosts Nick and Vanessa Lachey attempted to explain the delay in an Instagram video. Everyone apparently shattered the internet to see this reunion! So we're all set to go. We just need to sort it out. Everything is coming together. We won't ask anyone any questions until we're streaming live into your living rooms, phones, iPads, or whatever you're watching on. I promise to keep all of the tea for you."
The cast members couldn't help but make light of the issue, with Marshall Glaze joking that he was attempting to fix it himself. "I'm trying, yall," he wrote on Twitter.
Of course, (rightfully) irritated viewers took to social media to vent about the delay. Throughout the ordeal, Twitter trended hashtags such as "get it together," "WTF Netflix," and "love is law."
Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez tweeted about a scene from the LiB finale, saying, "Someone call Lucia the seamstress to fix this."
