Elon Musk declared that the majority of the advertisers who had previously stopped using Twitter after his $44 billion purchase of the social media network have now started using it again.

Musk reiterated that Twitter was now functioning at roughly break-even and might turn profitable as early as this quarter during a rare Twitter Spaces interview with the BBC.

According to a Bloomberg story, during a recent online discussion, nearly 3 million users listened in to see a debate that periodically devolved into hostility as the billionaire questioned the BBC's performance on a variety of subjects, including COVID disinformation and hate speech.

Elon Musk bought Twitter last year following a lengthy dispute with the company's leadership and board. The acquisition process was turbulent, and at one point the management and board of the firm sued Musk to force him to complete the transaction.

According to Musk, the majority of advertisers have returned to Twitter after leaving in the wake of widespread layoffs and technical issues that raised worries about the spread of hate speech, fake news, and other undesirable content.

Almost all of them, according to Musk, have either returned or declared their intention to do so.

The rambling conversation touched on both important issues, like how to handle misogyny, and the ridiculous, like the billionaire's repeated claims that his dog is now Twitter's CEO.

"I do not serve as Twitter's CEO. The CEO of Twitter is my dog', Musk chuckled. What more could one want for when he is wearing a black turtleneck?
