PM Modi Will Launch Health Infrastructure Projects Worth 3,400 Crore In Assam On Friday

On Friday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate health infrastructure projects worth Rs 3,400 crore in Assam.

On April 14, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Assam to lay the groundwork for several projects costing over Rs. 3,400 crore.

According to an official announcement, Modi will dedicate to the nation the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Guwahati, as well as three other medical colleges in the state.

'The opening of AIIMS in Guwahati would be a watershed moment for the state of Assam and the entire North-East region. AIIMS Guwahati, built at a cost of more than Rs. 1120 crores, is a cutting-edge hospital with a capacity of 750 beds, including 30 Ayurvedic beds. Every year, this hospital will have a capacity of 100 MBBS students. "The hospital will provide people in the North East with world-class health care," according to a government statement.

The three other medical colleges were erected at a cost of approximately Rs. 615 crore, Rs. 600 crore, and Rs. 535 crore, respectively.

He will also lay the groundwork for the Assam Advanced Health Care Innovation Institute (AAHII) and begin the 'Aapke Dwar Ayushman' campaign, which would include the distribution of Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY) cards to eligible beneficiaries.

The Prime Minister will attend the Guwahati High Court's platinum jubilee celebrations at Srimanta Sankardev Kalakshetra in Guwahati.

He will also dedicate several development projects to the nation, including the commissioning of a 500 TPD Menthol Plant in Namrup, the laying of the foundation stone for a bridge across the Brahmaputra River connecting Palashbari and Sualkuchi, the laying of the foundation stone for the beautification of Rang Ghar in Sivasagar, and the dedication of five railway projects.
