The Snapdragon 820 Gen 2 SoC is anticipated to power the Xiaomi 13 Ultra.

The Xiaomi 13 Ultra will be available worldwide in April. The Xiaomi 12S Ultra, its precursor, was released in July 2022. The Xiaomi 12S Ultra was the first smartphone co-designed by Xiaomi and Leica. The two firms announced a long-term strategic partnership for mobile imaging earlier this year, which means that all high-end Xiaomi devices will now include Leica-branded cameras. Xiaomi's 13 Ultra is one such gadget that has received a lot of attention. There have been several leaks and stories about the upcoming smartphone since before the Mobile World Congress in 2023.

In a tweet, Leica Camera (@leica_camera) confirmed that the Xiaomi 13 Ultra smartphone will be available worldwide this month, in April. Lei Jun, Xiaomi's founder and CEO, also verified in a tweet that the Xiaomi 13 Ultra will include the "most exceptional Leica Summicron lens."

The Leica Summicron lens has a spherical optical design that is said to assist with "perfect imaging and excellent contrasts." Users could connect a Leica M-series lens module to Xiaomi's 12S Ultra Concept's body. It will be fascinating to see how Xiaomi has integrated the aforementioned unique Leica lens into its handset since announcing their collaboration.

According to reports, the Xiaomi 13 Ultra will be driven by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC and will come in RAM variants of 12GB and 16GB, with onboard storage of 256GB and 512GB. The phone is anticipated to have a 6.7-inch WQHD+ AMOLED LTPO display with 120 Hz refresh rate.

A 50-megapixel primary sensor, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and two 50-megapixel telephoto sensors are anticipated to be included in the reported quad rear camera setup. A 32-megapixel sensor is anticipated to be used for the front camera.

According to reports, the Xiaomi 13 Ultra will ship with an Android 13-based MIUI 14 operating system and a 4,900 mAh battery with 90W rapid charging support.
