The movie Mrs. Undercover, starring Radhika Apte, has a release date

On April 14, ZEE5 will begin broadcasting the Radhika Apte-starring film Mrs. Undercover.

Radhika Apte's Mrs. Undercover will begin streaming on ZEE5 starting on April 14, the website revealed on Thursday.
The film, which is billed as a spy comedy, tells the tale of Durga (Apte), a typical Indian housewife who is a special undercover operative called back to duty after a 10-year absence.

In a never-before-seen role as a housewife and undercover operative fending off many bad guys and patriarchal ideas, Apte will be shown in the ZEE5 Original. Apte claimed that she fell in love with the "Mrs. Undercover" tale right away because it tackles deeply ingrained patriarchal attitudes towards housewives in a lighthearted manner.

"Every household has a Durga—a woman who silently goes about her work and doesn't get her due because she is considered "just" a housewife. I fell for my character, Durga, who is funny, kind, sincere, clumsy, and uncertain of herself. This film is her journey of finding her own strength.

However, Apte said in a statement, "This film fights that mentality, which prevails in our patriarchal society, and it's done beautifully under the guise of humour." In addition to Apte, Mrs. Undercover also stars Rajesh Sharma as the head of the Special Force who hires Durga and Sumeet Vyas as the antagonist.

Vyas praised Mrs. Undercover as a complete package and expressed his gratitude for the chance to portray a bad guy.

"Amidst the clutter of genres and stories, I am glad that the team thought of this empowering to play,"

Mehta said, "Spy movies have had my heart for years, and comedy is something I swear by. I'm thankful to have received a dream cast for my first movie. My initial had to be a hybrid of the two. The finest cast, including Radhika Apte, Sumeet Vyas, Rajesh Sharma, and my producing partner, Abir Sengupta, helped me realise this dream project. No more was possible from me!The movie is made by B4U Motion Pictures in collaboration with Jaadugar Films and Knight Sky Movies, she said.
