Just days before the start of the Indian Premier League season, Virat Kohli shocked the internet on Thursday when he posted a screenshot of his Class X grade report.

Kohli captioned his post on the Koo app, "It's funny how the things that add the least to your marksheet add the most to your character."

On the grade sheet, Kohli received an 83 for English, 81 for social science, 75 for Hindi, 74 for basic IT, 55 for science and technology, and 51 for maths.

Students in West Bengal taking the Class X English state board exam in 2018 received a welcome surprise when they discovered an essay topic on Kohli. When asked about the cricketer who has become a "national icon," the pupils were ecstatic to respond.

On April 2, Kohli will take the field for the Royal Challengers Bangalore side against the Mumbai Indians after ending his century drought in all three forms.
