Nawazuddin files a complaint against his ex-wife and brother

Nawazuddin Siddiqui filed a defamation complaint against his former wife Aaliya Siddiqui, alias Zainab Siddiqui, in the Bombay High Court, asking Rs 100 crore in damages. He also accused Shamasuddin Siddiqui, his brother, of making defamatory and false allegations about him.

According to PTI, the actor has also requested a written apology from his ex wife and brother. In the claim, he stated that Shamasuddin, his boss in 2008, "blindly" gave him all financial work. Shamsuddin was also accused of tricking and defrauding Nawazuddin and purchasing homes with the actor's money.

It was further said that when the actor discovered the scam and inquired, Shamasuddin directed his ex-wife, Aaliya, to file a bogus lawsuit against Nawazuddin. Recently, the actor and Aaliya were involved in a property dispute.

Meanwhile, Nawazuddin has asked the High Court to permanently bar Aaliya and his brother from making any defamatory statements or remarks about him. He charged them of stealing Rs. 21 crore from him.

When the actor demanded that his belongings be returned to him, Shamasuddin and Aaliya joined up against him and began blackmailing him with "cheap videos and social media comments." According to the news agency PTI, the case would be heard on March 30 by a single bench led by Justice Riyaz Chagla.

Meanwhile, in response to the defamation complaint, Shamas levelled numerous allegations against Nawazuddin. He accused the actor of 'ruining' eleven years of his life and committed 11 more significant offences in a tweet. He further alleged that the star had three marriages. Shamas added in Hindi, "Dear brother #NawazuddinSiddiqui, these are not allegations but emotions," after sharing a large number of such statements.

Nawazuddin made headlines in January when Aaliya said she was mistreated at Nawazuddin's Mumbai house. She had returned from Dubai with their children, Shora and Yaani. A property dispute prompted the actor's mother to file a lawsuit against her.
