The Elephant Whisperers won Best Short Documentary at the festival, while RRR's "Naatu Naatu" won Best Original Music. Indians went to social media to express their joy over the Oscar honor.

Tourists have begun flocking to Tamil Nadu, the state portrayed in the Oscar-winning film The Elephant Whisperers, amid a surge in interest in Indian films globally. As the title indicates, the video depicts the human-animal link and what we may do if we strive to collaborate with nature. Visitors have begun to visit the Madumalai Theppakadu elephant camp in order to see the young elephant 'Raghu' from the video.

The premise of The Elephant Whisperers is about a family who adopts two orphaned young elephants in Tamil Nadu's Mudumalai Tiger Reserve. The protagonists of the Oscar-winning documentary 'The Elephant Whisperers' are unable to see the film at home, and here's why.

One tourist mentioned in a periodical remarked of witnessing the elephants, "It's a fantastic time. It's an honor to be here. My favorite animal is the elephant, thus the fact that the film won an Oscar makes me happy and joyful."
