Satish Kaushik, an actor and filmmaker, passed unexpectedly early on Thursday morning after suffering a heart attack, according to Anupam Kher, a close friend and professional associate. He was 66.
Kher claims that Kaushik first expressed his unease while visiting a friend in Delhi.
He requested a ride to the hospital since he felt uneasy, and while on the way, he had a heart attack at around one in the morning, according to Kher, speaking to PTI.
Kher expressed his shock at Kaushik's abrupt death in a previous tweet.
"I am aware that the ultimate truth is death, but I never in a million years imagined having to write that about my best buddy Satish Kaushik. A unexpected end to a 45-year friendship Satish, life without you will never be the same! Om Shanti," tweeted Kher.
Kaushik was most known for his appearances in movies like "Jaane Bhi Do Yaaron," "Mr India," "Deewana Mastana," and "Udta Punjab." He graduated from both the National School of Theatre and the Film and Television Institute of India.
On March 7 in Mumbai, renowned lyricist-author Javed Akhtar hosted the annual Holi celebrations, and Kaushik's last tweet on his official Twitter account was a collection of images from those events.
"Colored Joyful Fun #Holi celebration at Janki Kutir Juhu by @Javedakhtarjadu, @babaazmi, @AzmiShabana, @tanviazmi.. met the recently wed gorgeous couple @alifazal9, @RichaChadha.. wishing Happy Holi to everyone. He wrote, "#friendship #festival #Holi2023 #colours.
In addition to being a comedian, Kaushik was a filmmaker. "Tere Naam," featuring Salman Khan, and "Mujhe Kuch Kehna Hai," starring Kareena Kapoor Khan and Tusshar Kapoor, are two of his most well-liked movies.
Actress Kangana Ranaut recalled Kaushik as a "kind and sincere man" during their time together on the set of her upcoming movie "Emergency."
"I woke up to this horrible news; he was my biggest cheerleader, a very successful actor and director named Satish Kaushik ji, who personally was also a very kind and genuine man. I loved directing him in Emergency. He will be missed, Om Shanti," she tweeted
