1 dead, 6 injured as massive landslide hits Jammu, Srinagar national highway

The Jammu-Srinagar national highway was severely damaged by a large landslide on Tuesday, according to officials. One person was killed and six others were wounded. According to them, the rescue effort is in progress, and two-way traffic on the important highway has been halted. Seven persons were hurt as a result of the massive landslide that happened on the 270-km route close to Seri village, close to Ramban town, according to Deputy Superintendent of Police (Ramban) Mohita Sharma. According to Sharma, who is also in charge of SSP Highway, one of the injured, Surjeet Singh of Sumber, passed away from his wounds. Mohammad Taj, Hamid, Rubeena Begum, Sakeena Begum, Salma Bani, and Amir, among others, were hospitalised, according to her. She stated that the rescue effort is ongoing and that more information is needed.According to the authorities, the landslide that totally blocked the road destroyed at least two automobiles.
