The Poco X5 5G series, which includes the Poco X5 5G basic model and the Poco X5 Pro 5G variant, was formally introduced in February on international markets. The Poco X5 Pro and Poco X5 are both 5G-capable smartphones that come pre-installed with Android 12. The Poco X5 Pro is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 778G Processor, while the Poco X5 5G has a Snapdragon 695 chipset. The series' Pro variant has already been introduced in India. According to rumours and sources, the entry-level Poco X5 model will launch in the nation, maybe as soon as next week. The Poco X5 5G will go on sale in India "as early as next week," according to a 91Mobiles report citing unidentified industry insiders.The article, which did not provide a particular release date, speculated that the launch may occur between March 13 and March 18. When Poco India president Himanshu Tandon acknowledged that the business has had requests from "fans" to launch the Poco X5 in the nation and that they are actively exploring it, the rumoured launch date for the Poco X5 5G leaked online.

Green, blue, and black are the three colour choices offered for the Poco X5 5G model, which was released in international countries. Two storage options are also offered: 6GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB. Globally, the former costs $249, or around Rs. 20,600. Globally, the highest configuration costs $299, or around Rs. 24,700. Given that the Poco X5 Pro 5G is priced at Rs. 22,999 and Rs. 24,999 for the 6GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB storage variants, respectively, the report predicts that the Poco X5 5G India variant will be around Rs. 20,000.

The Poco X5 5G, which debuted last month, supports twin nano-SIM cards and runs Android 12 with MIUI 13. The smartphone has a 6.67-inch AMOLED full-HD+ screen with 1,080 x 2,400 resolution and a refresh rate of 120Hz. The gadget is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 chipset. A 48-megapixel primary sensor, an 8-megapixel secondary sensor, and a 2-megapixel sensor are all part of the Poco X5 5G's triple rear camera configuration. The punch-hole cutout at the top of the display houses the 16-megapixel sensor for the front-facing camera, which is paired with one. The smartphone supports Bluetooth 5.1, Wi-Fi, GPS, and NFC connection. It includes a 5,000 mAh battery and allows rapid charging at up to 33 W. 

The Poco X5 5G's "latest internal MIUI build is V13.0.1.0.SMPINXM," according to another claim by Xiaomiui, implying that the device would come pre-loaded with MIUI 13 based on Android 12. An earlier rumour said that the Poco X5 Pro 5G will be among the first handsets to get the MIUI 14 skin upgrade, which was unveiled at the Mobile World Congress 2023. The MIUI 14 update includes a redesign of Xiaomi's home screen. Larger folders, fresher widgets, and tabular icons have all been included as part of the revamp.
