Sania Mirza played her final match here on Sunday in front of her family, friends, and supporters as she fought back emotions as she entered the twilight of her career at the Lal Bahadur Stadium. Sania first picked up the intricacies of the game in the fabled Fateh Maidan, and it was from this location that she sprang to fame by winning the WTA championship in 2005. Maybe only a select few celebrities can rejoice in their retirement like Sania. The venue was decorated for the event. Her old partners Cara Black, Bethanie Mattek-Sands, Marion Bartoli, Ivan Dodig, and Rohan Bopanna came to play a few games with her one final time in addition to her beloved kid and parents. Yuvraj Singh, a cricket player, teamed up with Bethanie to face Sania and Rohan. Sania competed in three bouts while former sports minister and minister of union law Kiren Rijiju, Telangana's KT Rama Rao, Srinivas Goud, actor Dulquer Salmaan, Mohammed Azharuddin, Huma Qureshi, Diana Penty, Robin Uthappa, Ananya Birla, and many more watched from the stands. Rijiju opted to support her from the stands, but KT Rama Rao later presented her with a trophy on the court. Sania, who on Saturday made it plain that she would prefer a peaceful life, expressed her happiness at retiring at the location where her career began in a tearful statement. "Throughout my career, I have accomplished more than I ever could have anticipated, and I am appreciative of every second spent playing the game. I've always wanted to compete and show my appreciation by playing my final game in Hyderabad in front of my local audience "said Sania. The three-hour activity was actively taken part in by Bopanna and Dodig.
