The 50-day river voyage that started in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, was completed by the world's longest river cruise, the MV Ganga Vilas, on Tuesday when it arrived in Dibrugarh. Prime Minister Narendra Modi signalled the start of the sail from Varanasi on January 13. The voyage travelled through five states: Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, and Assam. On February 17, it arrived in Assam through Dhaka, Bangladesh. 27 river systems made up the 3,200 kilometres that Ganga Vilas travelled. In addition to important towns like Patna in Bihar, Sahibganj in Jharkhand, Kolkata in West Bengal, Dhaka in Bangladesh, and Guwahati in Assam, the aboard passengers visited 50 tourist destinations throughout their voyage, including world heritage sites, national parks, river ghats, and national parks. Union Minister welcomed the passengers of the ship, which included visitors from Switzerland.along with Shripad Yesso Naik, Minister of State for Ports, Shipping, and Waterways, Rameshwar Teli, Minister of State for Labor and Employment, Petroleum, and Natural Gas An official statement states that the luxury cruise has three decks, 18 suites, and a capacity for 36 passengers. According to the statement, 32 Swiss visitors signed up for the complete first trip.
