The Indian Institute of Management (IIM Rohtak) in New Delhi on Tuesday met and greeted Mizoram students. To take part in the Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat programme, the youngsters travelled to the national capital. IIM Rohtak is the nodal institution for the state of Haryana for this programme, according to a news statement from the institution. As part of the Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat initiative, a delegation of 24 Mizoram students and four staff members travelled to New Delhi to spend six days at Haryana Yuva Sangam. The students arrived in the evening and were greeted by Bandaru Dattatreya, the governor of Haryana.The governor urged the children to use this Yuva Sangam as a chance to research and learn about the rich history, culture, and spirit of the state of Haryana. According to the press release, he also said that this chance will foster a sense of cultural awareness and nationalism among young people in the northeast and the rest of India. The government of India's Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat initiative uses the concept of state/UT pairing to improve communication and foster understanding amongst residents of various states and UTs. Activities will be carried out by IIM Rohtak to encourage a continued and systematic engagement with the students from Mizoram in the areas of culture, customs, tourism, and food as well as the sharing of best practises.
