According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, Russell Westbrook intends to return to Los Angeles and sign with the Los Angeles Clippers. The Utah Jazz officially released Westbrook on Monday. After clearing waivers, Westbrook will become a free agent.
The Jazz acquired the former Kia MVP from the Los Angeles Lakers before the 2023 trade deadline.
This season, Westbrook has averaged 15.9 points, 7.5 assists, and 6.2 rebounds in 52 games.
Westbrook, 34, will join fellow NBA 75 member Kawhi Leonard in Los Angeles, as well as All-Star Paul George, with whom he played for two seasons in Oklahoma City.
