According to police sources, the Delhi lady whose body was discovered in a refrigerator at a roadside diner on Tuesday was strangled with a data wire by her live-in partner. Sahil Gehlot, 24, has been detained on suspicion of killing his girlfriend and attempting to cover it up in a case like the death of Shraddha Walker. After an altercation, he reportedly killed Nikki Yadav, 23, and planned to conceal her body in the fridge at a dhaba his family owned. According to sources, the vehicle in which Nikki Yadav is thought to have died has been confiscated. He has spent the last five days in police detention. The day of the murder, Sahil, a 24-year-old pharmacy graduate, reportedly wed another lady.Sahil was discovered by the police after Nikki Yadav vanished. His family in Jhajjar, Haryana, had reported him missing, and Nikki's neighbour had done so. According to the police, Nikki and Sahil had been living together for years after meeting while studying for the medical entrance test. He was unaware that Sahil was in a relationship with another lady. Sahil has been targeted for the death sentence by his father, Sunil Yadav. This event and the Delhi murder of Shraddha Walker last year are strikingly similar. According to the police, Aftab Poonawalla, Shraddha's live-in lover, reportedly killed her by dismembering her body and dumping the pieces in the wilderness after keeping them in a 300-liter refrigerator.
