Former England Captain Eoin Morgan Retires From All Forms Of Cricket
Eoin Morgan stated on Monday that he was giving up all forms of cricket. Morgan led England to an exciting One-Day International World Cup victory in 2019. When he resigned as England's ODI captain in June of last year, the 36-year-old hitter from Ireland had already declared his retirement from international cricket. In a record 126 ODIs and 72 T20 matches, Morgan led England as captain. A record is also set by his 118 victories while captain in the two versions. Later, he played with Paarl Royals in the SA20 and London Spirit in the Hundred. In a message on social media, Morgan said, "It is with great joy that I am announcing my retirement from all forms of cricket." "After careful consideration, I think that this is the time to the ideal time to stop participating in the game that has given me so much throughout the years." I have treasured every minute, from my move to England in 2005 to join Middlesex, to my final game playing for Paarl Royals in SA20.
" Morgan remarked that he felt lucky to have had the opportunity to see the world. He stated, "Cricket has given me the opportunity to travel the world and meet amazing individuals, many of whom I have formed lifetime ties with. "I have so many memories from playing for franchise teams throughout the world that I will cherish forever." Although Morgan represented Ireland, including at the 2007 World Cup, his English mother gave him the right to represent England. He continued to play for them in 16 tests, but his true strength lay in the shorter game. Morgan oversaw the T20 team in 2012 and the one-day team in 2014. He also participated in the team that won the 2010 T20 World Cup.
