The YuWaah (Generation Unlimited India) programme at UNICEF and the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) have partnered to help IGNOU students learn about and navigate their career options. According to the institution, the first "career awareness" meeting took place on January 17, 2023. These weekly Tuesday seminars have received more than 4,000 views from students. In order to improve their employability, students are introduced to cutting-edge job search tools during these workshops. According to the statement, "in the three sessions that have been held, students were informed of platforms like JobHai, Apna, and LinkedIn and were also given advice on how to network in order to locate the ideal job." During the session, freshman in the class were given a walk-through of the portals in addition to being recommended practises to follow while preparing for interviews and applying for employment are communicated to the job market. Dhuwarakha Sriram, Chief of YuWaah, Youth Development and Partnerships at UNICEF, gave a speech at the event and stated, "As a public-private youth partnership platform, YuWaah is devoted to giving access to economic possibilities for young people and aiding them in becoming job-ready." We are excited to provide many more of these job awareness seminars, as well as brand-new programmes for IGNOU students. IGNOU Vice Chancellor Prof. Nageshwar Rao praised the effort and urged the students to take an active role in the sessions.
