On Thursday, it was revealed that Jae Crowder had been moved from the Phoenix Suns to the Milwaukee Bucks. He had previously been transferred from the Phoenix Suns to the Brooklyn Nets on Wednesday night. The Indiana Pacers were involved in the transaction, which involved many teams. The Pacers received three second-round selections from the Bucks, while the Nets received two (2028 and 2029). The Pacers also received the guard Juan Pablo Vaulet's draught rights from the Nets. Along with receiving monetary considerations from the Nets, Indiana also acquires three players from the Bucks: forward Jordan Nwora, guard George Hill, and center/forward Serge Ibaka. Crowder, who agreed to sit out as Phoenix looked at trading for the veteran and hasn't played since,Johnson, who was part of the trade package sent by the Suns for All-NBA players Kevin Durant and T.J. Warren, was transferred to the Nets on Wednesday night.Even though Crowder is in the final year of his deal, the rise of forward Cameron Johnson was one of several variables that may have influenced Crowder to ask for a trade.

He goes back to Milwaukee, where he played for Marquette in the 2011–12 season, averaging 17.5 points and 8.4 rebounds and was named to the AP second team All–America. Crowder was instrumental in the Suns' run to the NBA Finals in 2021, but his production in terms of scoring and shooting somewhat declined the following year. The 6-foot-6 winger is renowned for his tenacious defence and has vast postseason playing experience; he has played in more than 100 playoff games and started 86 of them for five different teams. He shares the fifth-longest current run with nine postseason appearances in a row. This season, Nwora, 24, has averaged 15.7 minutes per game while averaging 6.0 points and 3.1 rebounds. While Ibaka, 33, who hasn't played since January 1, is averaging 4.1 points and 2.8 rebounds in 16 games, Hill, 36, is averaging 5.0 points and 2.5 assists in 19.1 minutes per game. To create place on their roster, the Pacers released Terry Taylor, James Johnson, and Goga Bitadze.
