A Fortunate Powerball Player In A Seattle Suburb Wins A Jackpot Worth $754.6 Million

According to Washington state lottery authorities, only one winning ticket for the $754.6 million Powerball jackpot was sold in a department shop in a Seattle suburb. On Monday night, the winning numbers were 5, 11, 22, 23, 69, and the Powerball 7. According to lottery authorities, the winning ticket was purchased on Sunday at a Fred Meyer in Auburn, which is located approximately 48 kilometres (30 miles) south of Seattle. A $50,000 incentive will be given to the store. The winner hasn't yet claimed their prize.

Both of the Powerball jackpot tickets that were sold in Washington state this time were bought in Auburn. The first came in 2014 with a $90 million jackpot.

A second $1 million reward from a ticket purchased in Airway Heights, close to Spokane, in November is still unclaimed, according to lottery officials. 180 days are given to lottery winners to claim their winnings.

Powerball authorities announced early on Tuesday that one ticket had all six winning numbers, and that ticket sales had increased the jackpot's value above the initial prediction of $747 million.

The full jackpot is available to winners who choose an annuity, which is a series of 29 subsequent payments that increase by 5% annually after a first partial payoff. The winner also has the option of accepting a $407.2 million lump sum settlement.
