Iga Swiatek: Iga Swiatek Dominates Unchanged WTA Top 20

Iga Swiatek maintained her position atop the WTA rankings on Monday, remaining more than 4,000 points ahead of Aryna Sabalenka, the winner of the Australian Open, who remained in the top 20. Since losing to Elena Rybakina, who is ranked 10th, in the Australian Open round of 16, Swiatek, who had held the top spot since April 4 of last year, has not participated in any competitions. Next Monday, the 21-year-old Pole is scheduled to return to court in Qatar. When Caroline Garcia fell to Alycia Parks in the final in Lyon on Sunday, she lost the chance to pass Jessica Pegula and move up to fourth position. The American Parks, which climbed 28 positions to rank 51st, is one of two noteworthy movers in the top 100. The other is Chinese athlete Zhu Lin, whose triumph in the Thai final raises.
