UPSC, CSE For Recruitment To Indian Railway Management Service (IRMS), In 2023
This year, applicants for the IRMS will be chosen via the UPSC Civil Services Examination. The Indian Railway Management Service (IRMS) scheduled recruitment exam will not take place this year, the Ministry of Railways confirmed on Thursday. It noted that applicants will be chosen through the Union Public Service Commission's (UPSC) Civil Services Examination.The Indian Railway Management Service (IRMS) will be filled through the UPSC's Civil Services Examination, which will be held in 2023, according to a news statement from the Ministry of Railways, which was in collaboration with the UPSC and DoPT.In order to choose candidates for the railroads management service, the ministry last year launched a two-tier test called the Indian Railways Management Service Examination, or IRMSE.According to the ministry, there will be a preliminary screening test, a primary written test, and an interview.It was said that the UPSC Civil Services Prelims exam would serve as a prerequisite for the IMRSE Mains exam and that the exam's format would be identical to that of the CSE in terms of syllabi, paper patterns, age restrictions, etc.However, it is now evident with the most recent notification that the UPSC CSE will serve this year's recruiting test in place of the IRMSE.The UPSC CSE 2023 announcement is currently available.
