Hatters boss looking forward to working with Muskwe after attacker is recalled from Fleetwood spell
Admiral Muskwe has been recalled by Luton Town boss Rob Edwards following his loan assignment at League One Fleetwood Town. The 24-year-old was acquired by Luton from Leicester City in the summer of 2021 for an unknown cost, but his debut year at Kenilworth Road was hampered by injuries and a call-up to the , Africa Cup of Nations with Zimbabwe which hindered his attempts to secure a regular starting position. In 25 games, he scored twice, however both of his goals were scored in cup competitions because he only made seven starts in the Championship. He made three appearances for Luton this season, beginning in the 2-0 victory against Swansea City and continuing at the Highbury Stadium in In the 1-1 draw with Wycombe in August, Muskwe made his debut and scored, but was once again dogged by injury, missing the final two months of the campaign with a hamstring issue. He later came back, though, and scored twice more, both from the penalty spot, giving the Cod Army three goals in as many games. Only Carlton Morris, Elijah Adebayo, and Cauley Woodrow were available for Luton's assault after the departures of veteran attacker Cameron Jerome last week for Bolton Wanderers and Harry Cornick yesterday for Bristol City. By having Muskwe re-join the team and by recruiting Joe Taylor, a young player from Peterborough, Edwards has attempted to correct that. When questioned about moving the ex-Foxes along, he responded, "I think he "gives us heaps of pretty wonderful traits," in my opinion. "I'm excited to work with him because he has some talent, some real pace, some real power, and everything we need."
