Covid-19: The director-general of the World Health Organization (WHO) agrees with the recommendations about the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic and decides that the situation continues to be a public health emergency of concern on a global scale. The World Health Organization stated on Monday that the pandemic is still a worldwide disaster three years to the day after it issued the highest level of global alert for COVID-19. According to a statement from the UN health agency, "the WHO director-general concurs with the committee's recommendations on the current COVID-19 pandemic and determines that the occurrence continues to represent a public health emergency of worldwide significance."
