Colourful Start To 35th Jarkhar Sports Festival

The 35th Jarkhar Sports Festival kicked off with a colourful march past on Friday in Jarkhar village on the Ludhiana-Malerkotla Road, featuring more than 1,000 children from various schools in Jarkhar and nearby areas.The Mata Sahib Kaur Sports Charitable Trust's Modern Rural Olympics, one of the most well-liked sporting events in the Malwa region, had its opening celebration highlighted by a group of Nihangs doing gatka.The attendees saluted MLA Jiwan Singh Sangowal, Amandeep Singh Mohi, Chairman of Markfed, and Parminder Singh Goldy, Chairman of the Youth Development Board. The honoree for the occasion was Pritam Singh Grewal, the mayor of Hounslow in the United Kingdom. To commemorate the start of the three-day celebration, balloons were released.
