The Delhi-NCR region is experiencing tremors, according to the European Mediterranean Seismological Centre, which was reported by Reuters as stating that an earthquake of a magnitude of 5.4 struck Nepal and caused vibrations to spread throughout the capital area. Tremors from the earthquake were reported throughout the Delhi-NCR area. The shaking persisted for a few seconds.The National Centre for Seismology said in a tweet that the 5.8-magnitude earthquake that hit Nepal caused vibrations throughout the capital area.The NCS reported that an earthquake with a magnitude of 5.8 occurred in Nepal on January 24, 2023, at 14:28:31 IST, Lat: 29.41 and Long: 81.68.Western Nepal was affected by the 5.9-magnitude earthquake, according to Monika Dahal, director of the National Earthquake Monitoring and Research Center.Some areas of the neighbouring country of India were also affected.Videos of internet users tweeting about their earthquake experiences were widely shared on social media.This happened more than 20 days after the national capital area experienced earthquakes. A 5.8-magnitude earthquake struck Afghanistan's Hindu Kush area on January 5.According to the National Centre for Seismology, an earthquake with a magnitude of 3.8 occurred in the Delhi-NCR region on January 1. On January 1, at 1:19 am, an earthquake struck the northwest region of Haryana's Jhajjar. The earthquake occurred 5 kilometres below the surface of the earth.A catastrophic 7.8-magnitude earthquake that struck Nepal in April 2015 left about 9,000 people dead and almost 22,000 injured. Additionally, it caused harm on 800,000 homes as well as educational facilities.
