On Sunday, FC Goa won a Hero Indian Super League game against Kerala Blasters 3-1. The Gaurs ended a four-game losing streak in the ISL thanks to goals from Iker Guarrotxena, Noah Sadaoui, and Redeem Tlang, moving them up to fifth place and four points ahead of Bengaluru FC in seventh. The Blasters lost consecutive games in the ISL for the first time since October. In the opening 30 minutes, the Kerala Blasters' shot-stopper Prabhsukhan Gill had to make one save while they failed to put the opposition goalie to the test. Soon after the half-hour mark, Brandon Fernandes was fouled in the box after coming into contact with Saurav Mandal. Guarrotxena scored from the penalty spot for his eighth goal of the year by going right down the center. Gill tried to get to the ball first ten minutes before the break, but Sadaoui flicked it past him before Ruivah Hormipam saved his shot. Three minutes later, the Moroccan did score, capitalising on a weak Sandeep Singh pass to beat Hormipam and slip the ball past Gill to increase the lead for the home team. Dimitrios Diamantakos scored for Kerala Blasters in the 51st minute as they came out determinedly in the second half. After Adrian Luna's free kick from the left edge, the Greek striker nodded the ball in from close range. But in the 69th minute, FC Goa made the difference to deflate the Blasters. On the counter, Tlang had space on the right side thanks to a fake run by Sadaoui that dispersed the defenders. To breach Gill's far post, the replacement raced into the area and drove the ball beyond Gill.
