IMD warning Up until January 26th, these northern states will experience torrential rain and hailstorms. During the period of January 24–26, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) predicted enhanced rainfall or snowfall activity, with the risk of particularly heavy snowfall in the Western Himalayan Region. For various areas of East India over the next three days, the minimum temperature will climb by 2-3 °C, according to the meteorological service. They also projected that throughout Himachal Pradesh, Bihar, and Odisha during the next 48 hours, dense fog is quite likely to be present during the night and early morning hours. The IMD also stated that throughout the last week, the lowest temperatures stayed between 6 and 10 °C. The previous twenty-four hours have seen flooding in several areas of Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, West Rajasthan, Bihar, East Rajasthan, and northwest Madhya Pradesh.

An induced cyclonic circulation is forecast to be present across south-west Rajasthan by the IMD.

This western disturbance will travel east between January 24 and January 26 as high moisture from the Arabian Sea feeds into the western Himalayan Region.

The Western Himalayan Region is anticipated to see moderate rainfall on January 22 and 23.

The intensity and dispersion of the rain will increase, causing more rain or snow to fall between January 24 and January 26, 2023.

Also likely to have significant precipitation on January 24 and 25 are Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, and Himachal Pradesh.

In Uttarakhand, heavy rain is forecast for January 25 and 26, 2023.

On January 23, there is a high probability of light precipitation in Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, and Uttar Pradesh.

In these states, rainfall will rise, and the days of January 24–26 will see widespread rainfall and thunderstorm activity.

On January 24, a hailstorm is also anticipated to hit Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Muzaffarabad.

The states of Himachal Pradesh, West Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, and Chandigarh are also predicted to see hailstorms on January 25, 24, and 26.

Between January 24 and January 26, rain or thundershowers are highly possible throughout northern Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh.
