Burnley Leisure and Culture and Burnley FC in the Community team up to help overweight loss goals

Burnley FC in the Community and Burnley Leisure and Culture work together to help overweight loss football fans achieve their objectives. Together, Burnley Leisure  and Culture and Burnley FC in the Community are working to combat unhealthy habits and assist overweight and unfit football fans. B LC and BFC are introducing a free 12-week healthy weight programme for males aged 35 to 65 who want to reduce weight, get fitter, and lead an active lifestyle as part of the English Football League's Fit Fans project. Men with a BMI of 30 or above are the target audience for it, which kicks off on Tuesday, January 24 at Turf Moor. By dividing a person's weight in kilogrammes by 2, the BMI provides an approximation of their weight status.by their height in metres squared. It is used to check for weight categories that might cause health issues or exacerbate pre-existing diseases.

The primary objectives of the programme are to assist participants in:

  • Improve your dietary habits and limit your alcohol intake.
  • boost exercise levels, shrink their waistline, and lose weight
  • Maintain focus and support one another.
  • It offers courses on health education, physical exercise activities.
