Hyderabad FC Complete Double Over East Bengal FC
Hyderabad FC defeats East Bengal FC to clinch a sweep. Siverio and Aaren help Hyderabad to their 11th league victory, and HFC maintains their 8th shutout of the year. On a cold night in Kolkata on Friday, Hyderabad FC returned to winning ways with a convincing 2-0 victory over East Bengal FC at the Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan. With goals by Avi Siveiro (9') and Aaren D'Silva (90 +4'), Hyderabad closed the gap on league-leading Mumbai City, who had 35 points after 15 games, to four points. It all began with Siverio's perfect header at the conclusion of a 10-minute period that Hyderabad controlled from the outset. Hyderabad scored after Siverio skillfully headed home a fantastic pass from Borja.they scored at Salt Stadium for the first time ever. The home team had a few half-chances and also hit the crossbar, but Odei Onaindia, Nim Dorjee Tamang, Akash Mishra, and Nikhil Poojary defended well, and Gurmeet Singh made some crucial stops to ensure that HFC led at halftime.
