On Friday, minimum temperatures across the majority of Haryana and Punjab saw a modest rise, providing comfort.to those who are vulnerable to extremely cold temperatures. On Friday and Saturday, there is a probability of light to moderate rain or snow in several areas of Jammu & Kashmir, according to the meteorological service. Light to heavy snowfall was seen in Himachal Pradesh's higher elevations, and the state-wide intermittent rainstorms that followed forced the closure of 278 highways.
