Arsenal agree £26m deal to sign Brighton star Leandro

Leandro Trossard, a midfielder for Brighton, will join Arsenal after reaching a £26 million agreement. Leandro Trossard will soon get a physical after Arsenal and Brighton reached an agreement to sign him. After losing out on Mykhailo Mudryk to Chelsea, the Gunners turned to Trossard. The Belgian international was considered as an enticing possibility due to his availability following a rupture with Brighton manager Roberto De Zerbi. All day Thursday, Arsenal and Brighton were involved in intense negotiations to reach a deal, and as of now, a cost has been decided. The 28-year-old would cost Brighton an initial £21 million ($26 million), with a further £5 million ($6 million) guaranteed as add-ons, according to information provided to Goal. Before finalising his relocation to north London, Trossard will now get a medical.

In order for him to play against Manchester United on Sunday, Arsenal is trying to have the trade completed in time. But in order to achieve that, the required papers must be delivered to the Premier League by Friday at noon Earlier this week, Mikel Arteta, the manager of Arsenal, stated the following on the possibility of improving his team: "We want to improve this transfer window, and by we, I mean myself, the coaching staff, the staff, the players, the board, and ownership." Although we are all in this together, we will only make transactions that we can execute and those we feel are in the best interests of the football club.
