Apple unveils Mac Book Pros and Mac Mini powered

New MacBook Pros and Mac Mini models from Apple are powered by new M2 Pro and M2 Max CPUs.

The redesigned MacBook Pro and Mac Mini from Apple are equipped with the company's potent new M2 Pro and M2 Max next-generation systems on a chip, which deliver even more performance and power efficiency.

With up to 32GB of unified memory, the M2 Pro features a 12-core CPU and a 19-core GPU.

M2 Max is the most powerful and energy-efficient CPU for a professional laptop, with up to a 38-core GPU and up to 96GB of unified memory to give performance per watt.

The M2 Pro has twice as many transistors as the M2, which has 20 percent more than the M1 Pro.

The M2 Max has 67 billion transistors, which is three times as many as the M2 and 10 billion more than the M1 Max.

15.8 trillion operations may be performed per second on the M2 Max, which is 40% more than the M2 iteration.

A strong and effective media engine is available with the M2 Pro, featuring hardware-accelerated H.264, HEVC, and ProRes video encoding and decoding.

Users may therefore replay several streams of 4K and 8K ProRes video while using only a little amount of electricity.

Two video encode engines and two ProRes engines are included in M2 Max, which doubles the speed of video encoding compared to M2 Pro.

Apple recently unveiled new 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models with the M2 Pro and M2 Max processors, which can render effects up to six times quicker than the fastest MacBook Pro with an Intel-based processor and colour grading up to two times faster.

In addition, consumers may anticipate up to 22 hours of battery life—the longest ever given on a Mac laptop—thanks to Apple's breakthrough degree of power efficiency in its silicon.

With faster Wi-Fi 6E3 and more powerful HDMI that supports 8K displays up to 60 Hz and 4K displays up to 240 Hz, the new MacBook Pros will enable a wider range of display resolutions.

Customers who desire professional-level performance from a small device at a lower cost can purchase the new Mac Mini with the M2 and M2 Pro.

The M2 Pro variant of the Mac Mini has four Thunderbolt 4 ports and can support up to three screens, while the Mac Mini M2 has two Thunderbolt 4 ports and can support up to two displays.

The Mac Mini with M2 contains a 10-core GPU in addition to an 8-core CPU with four high-performance cores and four high-efficiency cores.

A 12-core CPU, eight high-performance cores, four high-efficiency cores, and a 19-core GPU are all featured in the M2 Pro Mac Mini.

Up to five streams of 8K ProRes 422 video or up to 23 streams of 4K ProRes 422 video can be played back simultaneously on a Mac Mini with M2 Pro.
