Here are five essential details regarding the recently constructed metro lines.

1. The 18.6 km long Metro line 2A (yellow line) runs between Dahisar East to DN Nagar in Andheri West. From Andheri West to Valani, Phase II has been expanded by 9 kilometres, encompassing 8 stops. It is approximately 16.5 kilometres from Andheri East to Dahisar East where the metro line 7 connects. In its second phase, which would cover a distance of up to 5.2 kilometres from Goregaon East to Gundavali, there will be four stops. According to MMRDA authorities, the two Metro lines would include a new interchange station at Gundavali in Andheri East and Andheri West.

The ticket costs 10 for the first 3 kilometres and costs more after that.

3. The combined metro trains of these two lines would operate along a 35-km stretch of an elevated corridor, with a total of 30 elevated stations served by 22 trains.

4. Link Road and Western Express Highway are two of Mumbai's main thoroughfares that are connected to both of these metro lines.Three to four lakh people per day are anticipated to use these metro lines, which would ease congestion on current local trains and key roadways.

5. India is where these subway cars are produced. Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the cornerstone for these lines in 2015.
