Electric bus service between Bengaluru and Mysuru will start on January 16 according to the Karnataka State Road Transport Commission (KSRTC).

According to KSRTC, the fare for an AC bus is set at Rs. 330, while the ticket for a non-AC vehicle would be Rs. 240. A total of 12 buses—which will gradually rise in number—will be used to travel between the two cities.
These buses were made by Olectra Greentech Ltd. of Hyderabad, which also provided a prototype e-bus in December. Additionally, the KSRTC intends to deploy e-buses to connect the state's smaller cities including Davangere, Shivamogga, Chikkamagaluru, Virajpet, and Madikeri to Bengaluru, the state's capital. According to a statement from KSRTC, further electric bus routes between the capital city and minor villages will be announced in the future.
These bus services would cut the travel time between Bengaluru and Mysuru to 90 minutes since the motorway is anticipated to open in February.
