In Kanwari Ganj, Aligarh, almost twenty houses have developed fractures in the last five days.

Locals allegedly put the blame on the subpar job being done while installing pipelines in the region as part of the Smart City initiative.

The local government of Baghpat and Aligarh in Uttar Pradesh performed an assessment of the impacted regions after people reported fractures in a number of dwellings. The administration gave the concerned locals assurances that a remedy was on the way.

Locals claim that a few homes in Baghpat's Thakurdwara neighbourhood now have cracks. According to information we've received, cracks have appeared in 4-5 homes. SDM is expected to arrive at the location. The Additional District Magistrate (ADM) for Baghpat assured ANI that a solution will be found soon.

According to sources, 25 homes in the Baghpat neighbourhood have fractures as a result of drinking water pipeline leaks. Residents are terrified as a result of fissures that have grown wider in recent months. Locals claim that as a result of the installation of the underground gas pipeline network, the water pipes underneath it began to leak.

Over the past five days, more than a dozen homes in Aligarh's Kanwari Ganj had developed cracks. Locals allegedly put the blame on the subpar job being done while installing pipelines in the region as part of the Smart City initiative.

The aforementioned neighbourhood is situated on a hilltop, the oldest residential neighbourhood in the city, Upper Kot, is located at its summit. According to PTI, a local civic official stated on Wednesday that an examination of the area was complete and that a preliminary report was forthcoming.
