Instagram Down Users Say DMs Not Working

Users in India and other countries claim that Instagram fell down on Wednesday, making it impossible for them to send direct messages (DMs) on the photo and video sharing platform.

Others asserted that the problem just affected DMs and that the rest of the app was operating well. Instagram started having problems at 1:20 a.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST), or 11:50 a.m. in India, according to Downdetector, a company that offers consumers real-time information about the condition of websites and services.
