PM to flag off Vande Bharat express train from Secunderabad to Visakhapatnam on Jan 19

On January 19 at PM, the PM will signal the departure of the Vande Bharat express from Secunderabad to Visakhapatnam.

In addition, Modi will lay the foundation for future initiatives and dedicate buildings worth Rs 2,597 crore at IIT Hyderabad.

On January 19, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay the cornerstones for a station renovation project costing 699 crore, a waggon periodic overhauling workshop costing 521 crore, and a railway doubling line between Secunderabad and Mahabubagar costing 1,410 crore. He will also flag off the "Vande Bharat" Express Train from Secunderabad to Visakhapatnam station.

The foundation stone will be laid for projects like the expansion works of three national highway projects totaling about 150 km of road highway worth 1,850 crore by Mr. Modi, the Union Minister for Culture, Tourism, and Development of Northeast India G. Kishan Reddy announced on Monday. He will also dedicate IIT Hyderabad buildings approved for a total cost of 2,597 crore.

The PM would be visiting TS for the second time in two months, the Minister said in an official release, adding that the projects, which included the laying of the cornerstone for work worth about 3,000 crore and the beginning of work worth around 4,000 crore, had a combined value of 7,000 crore.

The ninth Vande Bharat train will depart from Secunderabad Railway Station at 10 a.m. It will arrive in Visakhapatnam after an eight-hour journey that includes stops at Warangal, Khammam, Vijayawada, and Rajahmundry. The Mahabubnagar-Chincholi section of the proposed national highway project is 103 kilometres long, and the Nizampet-Narayankhed-Bidar section is 46 kilometres long.

The IIT-H structures include academic buildings for each department, 18 dormitory structures to house 4,500 students, five faculty and staff towers to house 250 families, a technology research park, a technology innovation park, a research centre complex, a convention centre, a knowledge centre, a guest house, a lecture hall complex, a campus school, a health care facility, a married students hostel, UG core labs, and more.

The prime minister will eventually arrive at Parade Grounds to take part in the public gathering. Bandi Sanjay Kumar, the head of the TS BJP, Rajya Sabha MP K. Laxman, and others had already visited the location and the train station to inspect the arrangements. According to Mr. Sanjay Kumar, the BRS leaders' continuous complaints about the BJP government's support for TS have been addressed by Mr. Modi's visit and the laying of the cornerstones for so many infrastructural projects.
