Delhi schools closed for all due to extreme cold: 5 points for students, parents

Due to the intense cold, all Delhi schools were closed. Students and parents receive five points.

However, practical tests, internal evaluations, and project work for CBSE Class 10 and 12 board exam applicants would still be conducted in accordance with the schedule given by the board, according to the Delhi Directorate of Education (DoE).

Due to the unprecedented cold wave in the nation's capital, the Delhi government on Sunday declared that continuing remedial lessons for students in grades 9 through 12 are suspended with immediate effect.

Parents and students should be aware of the following five things:

Practical tests, internal evaluations, and project work for CBSE Class 10 and 12 board exam applicants will proceed as scheduled despite the fact that all sessions, including remedial programmes, have been cancelled.The Delhi Directorate of Education stated in its circular that the board had announced the results.
  2. As a result, all schools in Delhi are closed to students except than those preparing for board exams. A winter break from January 1 to January 15 was already declared by the Delhi Department of Education. The Directorate of Education had announced that all public schools would be closed from January 1 through January 15, 2023, for the winter break. Remedial sessions will be held for classes 9 through 12 to update the curriculum and improve the students' academic performance. This was followed by the statement, "These classes will enable the students to revisit the fundamental principles of the disciplines from an examination point of view."
  3. Numerous states in northern India have declared school breaks for their pupils in light of the recent cold weather. According Indian news agency ANI, all Lucknow schools up to and including class 8 would be closed through January 14.
  4. Online classes will be held for students in grades 9 through 12, according to a letter from the state administration. If the classes cannot be held for any reason, a holiday will be announced until January 11.According to ANI, pre-board practical training would be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  5. Due to the present cold wave, the state governments of Bihar and Jharkhand recently declared additional school breaks.
