68 homes in the danger zone have been evacuated, according to CM Pushkar Dhami's live updates on the Joshimath sinking.

The Joshimath region of Uttarakhand has been deemed TC-prone due to increasing soil subsidence and fissures identified, according to Chamoli District Magistrate Himanshu Khurana.

Two central teams, one of which is from the Union Jal Shakti ministry, are reportedly on their way to the holy town. Joshimath, Uttarakhand, is still experiencing land subsidence, therefore on Sunday, the district administration gave the impacted households the money they needed for basic home necessities.

The report states that 68 families have been moved and that 603 buildings in total have developed cracks. A high-level review meeting on the Joshimath issue was held by PK Mishra, the principal secretary to the Prime Minister's Office, in the meantime.

The Joshimath situation is being studied and recommendations are being given by a team of experts from the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), National Institute of Disaster Management, Geological Survey of India, IIT Roorkee, Wadia Institute of Himalayan Geology, National Institute of Hydrology, and Central Building Research Institute.

On Monday, the NDMA would travel to Uttarakhand to evaluate the situation in Joshimath. Joshimath, the entryway to holy places like Badrinath and Hemkund Sahib, is facing a significant problem as a result of land subsidence, with more than 600 homes showing signs of cracking.
