Sam Curran of England and Cameron Green of Australia were selected by the Punjab Kings and Mumbai Indians for a total of Rs 18.50 crore and Rs 17.50 crore, respectively. The most expensive player ever sold in an IPL auction was Sam Curran. On the other hand, the Chennai Super Kings recruited England Test captain Ben Stokes for Rs 16.25 crore, tying the previous record holder Chris Morris.Nicholas Pooran, meanwhile, was acquired by the Lucknow Supergiants for the highest-ever sum paid for a West Indies player, totaling Rs 16 crore. Harry Brook was sold to Sunrisers Hyderabad for Rs 13.25 crore to start the day. Mayank Agarwal was also purchased by SRH for Rs. 8.25 crore. Pacer Shivam Mavi was selected by the Gujarat Titans for Rs 6 crore, while Mukesh Kumar was selected by the Delhi Capitals for Rs 5.50 crore. Both players were among the surprise millionaires. Amit Mishra, 40, was acquired by the Lucknow Supergiants for Rs 50 lakh.
