Adani Data Networks has been granted a licence to telecom

In the last 5G spectrum auction, Adani Data Networks Ltd won the license to utilize 400MHz of spectrum in the 26GHz millimeter wave band.

According to two government sources, Adani Data Networks has been given a single license for access services, allowing it to supply all telecom services in the country.

Adani Group entered the telecommunications industry after purchasing spectrum in a recent auction.
"UL (AS) has been awarded to Adani Data Networks," an official source stated. According to another source, the permission was obtained on Monday.

An e-mail sent to Adani Group received no response.

In the last 5G spectrum auction, Adani Data Networks Ltd (ADNL), a company of Adani Enterprises Ltd, paid 212 crore for the right to utilise 400MHz of spectrum in the 26GHz millimetre wave band for 20 years.

The Adani Group previously stated that it intends to utilize the airwaves for data Centre as well as the mega app it is developing to help industries ranging from energy distribution to airports and gas retailing to ports.

"The recently acquired 5G spectrum is expected to contribute to the creation of a single digital platform, which will expedite the pace and scale of the Adani group's digitalization of its core infrastructure, primary industrial, and B2C business portfolio," the firm said in a statement.
