Jimmy Fallon Calls On Elon Musk To Help Take Down #RIPJimmyFallon On Twitter

Since Tesla CEO Elon Musk took over the firm, the social media behemoth has grappled with an increase in false news.

Jimmy Fallon is not dead, and he wants everyone to know it.

Since Tuesday night, a slanderous hashtag, #RIPJimmyFallon, has been rising on Twitter, and The Tonight Show host has had enough, calling on the company's CEO, Elon Musk, to personally remove the hashtag.

Earlier on Tuesday, the more nefarious side of Twitter established #RIPJimmyFallon, with people frequently putting the hashtag alongside a photo of someone other than Fallon.

Twitter users, particularly those from other countries who were unaware of the alleged joke, were stunned and perplexed. "This popped up as a hashtag, so I was taken aback," one Korean user tweeted. Oh, that's amusing. Because Melon Musk dismissed everyone in the information confirmation department, bogus news may now spread, therefore the hashtag. Oh, it's funny, true #RIPJimmyFallon."

Fallon, upset, tweeted, "Can you help, Elon?

Musk, who has taken a more personal approach to content management since becoming control of Twitter, has yet to reply to Fallon's request.

Twitter's current chaos has resulted in an increase in disinformation on the platform, which has been exacerbated by Musk's firing of a large number of people involved in content moderation and dealing with fake accounts and fake news.

Last Thursday, a bogus account with the name and logo of pharmaceutical giant Eli Lilly & Co. and a blue "verified" checkmark tweeted, "We are delighted to announce insulin is free now." The fake post caused the pharma company's shares to plunge from $368 to $346, erasing billions in market worth.
