Strong tremors in Delhi, adjacent regions following a 6.3 magnitude earthquake in Nepal

There were strong tremors in Delhi and adjacent regions following a 6.3-magnitude earthquake in Nepal.

This is the second earthquake to strike Nepal in less than five hours, following an earthquake of magnitude 4.9 on Tuesday at 8:52 p.m.

Tremors lasting several seconds were reported across Delhi in the early morning hours of Wednesday, following a powerful earthquake in Nepal. The earthquakeq6.3,e had a magnitude of 6.3 and occurred at 1.57am. According to the National Center for Seismology, the earthquake's epicentre was in Nepal.

The National Center for Seismology tweeted, "Earthquake of Magnitude: 6.3, Occurred on November 9, 2022, 01:57:24 IST, Lat: 29.24 & Long: 81.06, Depth: 10 Km, Location: Nepal."

This is the second earthquake to strike Nepal in less than five hours, following an earthquake of magnitude 4.9 on Tuesday at 8:52 p.m.

Following the earthquakes felt in the national capital, some people went to social media sites.

Some individuals also posted videos of the time the earthquake hit Delhi.

"Did the earthquake wake you up too?" one Twitter user wondered, while another described the shocks as "frightening."

According to a Delhi disaster management authority official, no calls reporting earthquake damage have yet been received at the emergency operation centre.
