Rebel Wilson has given birth to her first child through surrogacy. The actress revealed the news to the public on Monday by posting a photo of her newborn daughter, Royce Lillian, on Instagram.
"I can't really express how much I adore her; she's a lovely miracle," stated the 42-year-old actor. "I will be eternally thankful to everyone who has been involved; you know who you are; this has been years in the planning... but I especially wanted to thank my beautiful surrogate who bore her and born her with with elegance and care."
Wilson expressed gratitude to her surrogate for assisting her in starting her own family. On her Instagram story, she also posted a shot of herself holding pink balloons.
Wilson told People Magazine earlier this year that she chose to go on a "year of wellness" in 2020, in part because she wanted to become a mother. She stated that she began fertility treatments at the age of 39, which she believed was too late, but she looked up to ladies like Janet Jackson, who also began the procedure later.
Wilson was said to be engaged to her companion, Ramona Agruma, only last week. However, the actress denied the news in an Instagram story post, saying, "Thanks for the nice wishes, but we are NOT engaged!"
Wilson said in May that she was "happy in a relationship," and in June she went public with Agruma, the founder of the sustainable apparel business Lemon Ve Limon.
